Companionship
As we all get on with our years, we would, unfortunately, witness family members or friends pass, perhaps your shielding and the usual familiar faces cannot visit you as frequently if at all during this pandemic. This can have a negative effect on you, and we're here to help! With an emphasis on mental health, our trained staff members will do activities to get your mind working (in a good and fun way!)
Everybody needs somebody at one point in their life, especially in this COVID-19 Pandemic it can sometimes be an awfully lonely world. Our Companionship Carer will go to your house or choice of location and spend time with you, whether it be going for a walk in the park, having a laugh at what you got up to when you were younger or play chess! We're interested in whatever you are interested in, our goal is to keep a smile on your face and feel relaxed and content by the end of the day.
As part of our Companionship Service but also not limited to we offer:
-
Reminiscing and mental awareness stimulation
-

Dementia
The total population prevalence of dementia among over 65s is 7.1% (based on 2013 population data). This equals one in every 79 (1.3%) of the entire UK population, and 1 in every 14 of the population aged 65 years and over.
Dementia can be a very aggressive form of mental and physical illness, our trained staff members are highly versed in the newest training and activities to help alleviate symptoms with Dementia patients. We understand that a familiar face is very important and a slight change of routine can have a negative knock-off effect on a person. Our quality service ensures that we take care of 100% of your needs whilst maintaining some independence in your life, at the comfort of your own home. Our Carer will take the time to get to know you and your habits, your likes and dislikes to make sure your daily life goes as smoothly as possible.
